For the past 17 years, Mercy Home for boys and girls reaches out to the public, asking them to be part of a solution for kids in crisis while celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Diana’s Bananas is a proud supporter of Mercy home, and helped their cause with a donation at the post St. Patrick’s Day Parade Celebration at the Chicago Hilton Hotel. The Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is a children’s charity dedicated to providing a solution for at-risk children in Chicago, Illinois. We were proud to share our day with Small Business Regional Administrator, Marianne Markowitz, on February 13, 2012. Markowitz joined us to tour our plant and to recognize Diana’s Bananas President, Bob Carmody, for growing and creating jobs here in Chicago and for making a push to hire returning veterans.
Markowitz not only toured the plant, but successfully passed our banana dipping class – as a certified banana dipper, she is welcome back any time!

We are proud to welcome Small Business Regional Administrator Marianne Markowitz to tour our plant on Monday, February 13, 2012. President of Diana’s Bananas and retired veteran, Robert Carmody, is being recognized for growing and creating jobs here in Chicago and for making a push to hire returning veterans. With SBA financing under the Recovery Act, we were able to expand our operating space and bring more of the world’s best chocolate dipped frozen bananas to you!
